Well it's spring break and I want to start on my tan. I don't want to go to a tanning bed, I just want the sun. What is the ideal temperature for a tan? <3

I don't think it has anything to do with the temp. It is more a question of UV rays from the sun. As summer approaches the earth tilts so that we receive a more direct line of the rays. So even on a cloudy day you can get a little tan, due to the rays bleding through. Good luck and have fun on break.

about a month ago i was outside all day, and about a foot of snow was on the ground, but i got a really great start on my tan. so it doesn't matter if its cold or warm all that matters is if the sun is out shining. but when the sun is out enough is about 70 degrees

It is not the heat that tans it is the suns rays. So, if it is sunny and your comfortable laying out please enjoy the pleasant weather and good luck with the tan.
