muscle mass for besides lifting weights
I know that you could pick me up in your arms

I want to know what men really use all that muscle and

It hasn't been that long that men, with increase bone density and muscular built, defended those who could not defend themselves. It is also not something that has been eradicated from this "modern" world either, men still have to perform their function and fighters and defenders everyday across the globe. Being stronger, faster, with greater endurance than other men used to also ensure getting a suitable mate (until women started to look at money as a replacement for a superior physique). Men are also engineered to be masculine (despite MTV's attempts to metrosexualize men), meaning that working out and muslces are part of being a man. Big or small, young or old.

I know at work when something heavy or big has to be moved, the women always call on me. I'm no MR. AMERICA, just an average guy. I don't buff up or work out except lifting at work during normal routines. I remember as far back as 7th grade, I could get under a baby grand piano, put my back to it and lift it off the floor while a couple of guys steadied it.

Hi Jessica,
Men were created to provide for and protect their loved ones
and their families. So they were given larger, stronger muscles to do the necessary jobs. Also, many jobs that men
do today, requires a bit more strength and stamina. They get
that strength and stamina from larger muscles.
As for picking you up, you're probably quite a little prize!!

They all use the muscle for girls like you they want to become attractive towards you and strength to be more powerful than you so that no one can say that he is a gay.

THAT is a good question.
When we guys are younger, we do it for EGO!
When we get old, like me, we do it to slow down aging.
Our muscles (including women) get smaller and smaller as we get older. And THAT means weaker!

So by weightlifting, we WILL get weaker, but not as weak as every one around us.

Now, guys who lift weights, like in the magazines, where they look like monsters, that is simply gross.

some think it looks good to be big and muscular, others that it will attract women. I prefer brains to muscles any day
