COMPLETELY normal. Your baby's skin is adjusting to its new "dry" environment since its been in water for so long. Both my babies had that too. Lotion didn't help that much. It'll go away in a week or two.

He is growing and it's like leaving the old to new. Vaseline would work real well. Make sure to rub some vaseline all over the dry area, but if it doesn't improve at all, then you know you should call the DR. That baby is due for DR soon though right? I know my baby has to visit the DR right after she got home from hospital, so maybe then you can address your concern to the DR, ok? good luck, i really think you have nothing to worried about.

Totally normal and it happens more so in babies who were over due. My son had the same thing. Doc said to leave it and we did. He's now 5 weeks and it's all gone! Well it was all gone by the time he was 2 or 3 weeks... but it didn't come back :)

yep, completely commonplace. my 10 day previous little boy has an identical element. dr reported to no longer positioned any creams or creams on it and it might bypass away in a pair of month or so. supposedly the toddler comfortable pores and skin takes time. additionally, our dr reported just to sponge bathe our toddler a million-2x in step with week till the stump falls off? i assume each dr is diverse although and if yours says that is okay - then do it. sturdy success! :)

It's normal for babies skin to dry out. My son's dried out and he even got a little baby acne. One thing you can do is if you're bathing him every single day, cut down to every other day. My son's pediatrician recommended that to us since babies don't get dirty the way we do and bathing them everyday will cause their skin to dry out a bit more.

there's really nothing normal about babies. just use a very good moisterising lotion on his skin. There are all natural hypoallergenic creams that you can use as well if you're afraid he'll ingest it. but good old fashioned vasaline might help.

That is normal, but you can use baby lotion (it's okay for him to put his hands in his mouth.) and rub it in REALLY well, right after a warm sponge bath.
