Well I live in Colorado and love it I actually have lived in other places but I start to go through withdraws with out my mountains out the window everyday.
The weather here perfect not to hot in the summer and plenty of snow in the winter.
Denver itself as a city is not to congested compared to other places. However, you can escape it all and be in the mountains in 45 min.
Boise I don't know much about other then it gets cold in the winter and the economy is not the strongest.
Dallas gets down right hot in the summer.
However sorry to inform you of this the cultural diversity is going to be any where you go these days.

If you dont like heat or congestion, stay away from Dallas. I was born and raised in Boise and I do like it there. I will say that it has grown a lot in the last ten years. It still takes an hour to get to work ten miles away depending on whether or not you need to take the interstate at rush hour. But thats the same everywhere any more. The nice thing about Boise is, your only an hour away from almost every type of activity you could want. Lots of lakes and reservoirs within a 30 minute drive. Bogus Basin Ski Resort is a 40 minute drive up the hill. An hour out of town will have you in the desert if you like to ride dirt bikes or whatever. Plenty of nice golf courses as well. Housing is MUCH cheaper than either of the other two places. I just moved from Boise to Virginia and the avg three bedroom house here is between $250-300K. That much money would buy you a huge spread in Boise.

Well out of those 3 choices...I can help with two.
I grew up in Dallas, and I now live in Atlanta, but am considering moving back home at the end of the year because I miss Dallas and the smaller town atmosphere. I really like the people better there too.
My sister currently lives and works in Denver, Colorado and went to school there and honestly loves it. My parents are going to retire in Colorado, not necessarily Denver, but probably near there to be close to my sister. Because they all love the mountains (not me lol), and the place is beautiful. Just remember, they get a lot of snow, so you'd have to deal with that, and if you are from California, and haven't dealt with that, that might be an issue.
Boise, .....can't really help with that one, haven't ever been there either, not on my list of places to go either. So i'd highly recommend either Dallas or Denver. If you don't want to deal with snow, then Dallas. =) Good luck!!

I am from Boise, currently live in Los Angeles but will be moving back to Boise in a few weeks. I love it there! LA sucks.
I have also lived in Texas and you will NOT like it there. Just trust me on this one . . .
If you don't mind long winters and tons of snow, you will probably like Denver. I have friends there and they all love it. I couldn't do it because of the weather.

Colorado. Did you know that Colorado has the highest life expectancy rate? I've been to Dallas, in fact I'm going next weekend to visit in laws. It's nothing special, and pretty dirty. I drove through Idaho once, and stayed in a holiday inn. I don't remember much because I was little. The hotel had a waterslide and that's all I cared about.
