lowering the tire pressure on a 4x4 gives it a bigger footprint for trail riding. better traction. you had better air it up before youget back onthe highway.

Lowering the tire pressure creates a larger contact pattern and is beneficial if not lowered too much.... if lowered too much you will loose contact due to tire cupping... no more than 5 psi...below normal tire pressure
