ok my friend just ordered a pair of chaps off the internet, she came over and asked us to get them on for her. As you all know chaps are tuff to get on anyone, especially overweight people like my friend. It took 2 of us to get them on and about one hour. We had to have her take off her pants to do it. Now she is walking around the house in chaps and underware. My hands are so sore from doing this thats how bad it is.

so my question for you is how can we make it easier to get it on? Any ways you can think of to strech the leather better?

Please don't be offended as I don't intend it that way...but maybe your friend bought chaps that are too small..maybe she needs to buy a bigger pair?
otherwise, you can probably buy shoe stretching spray (you can get at most target stores) and spritz them and pull them tight for a few hours??

hahaha bless her!! I had a simaler problem with zip up boot a few weeks ago, there ok now tho. But they do sound like there to small for her, they shouldnt be so hard to get on she cant get them on with her joddies!! u nutters!! You really have 2 choices..

1) get bigger chaps
2) get leather greese (not soap) go mad with it and put 2 much on, work them well in with ur hands bending and streching them and where them while there still absorbing the greese (wipe them over with a dry cloth to get the excess off, when u finished) do that as many times as u need to.

Good luck! thanks for the funny story.. Knickers and chaps.. ace!!

get a bigger pair of chaps- they sound way too small for her. They should not be that hard to get on. Plus, she can not ride in her underwear, so she needs a bigger size to fit over her pants anyways.
You can also buy ones that just buckle- then you do not have to worry about getting them on like pants.

She needs a bigger pair of chaps--they are not that hard to get on if fitted properly!

It takes time to have leather wear in and honestly it really doesn't stretch. If they are that tight she should get the next size up. I doubt it has any thing to do with her weight, she might have just gotten the wrong size.
