I am not a racist but I want to know why people think it's okay to have all African American (colleges, fraternities, and tv stations)? So what would happen if we had all Caucasian colleges and tv stations??? If you want equality stop seperating yourself....

My point is if there was an "all white" college they would be sued for discrimination

I totally appreciate your view of equality among all people, and not treating anyone special based upon race, and wanting this world to be as one and not segregated. I dig that, really. I totally agree with it, it's the ideal. We as a whole are not ready for it, but in due time it will happen.
Such establishments were at one time necessary, because Black people would be denied into universities based solely on their race. Same goes for Affirmative Action with regard to racial minorities and women.
Times are changing, and such things are becoming less and less necessary, but I don't believe it's been phased out yet. For example, 70% of corporate women earn less than a man doing the same job, and they can actually get FIRED for asking a man how much he makes. Hillary Clinton wants to make a law that protects women from this, so if she asks a man how much he makes, she is protected from being fired for such a question.
When racism is wiped clean from this country, then we won't have any need for all Black (or all female) colleges and universities. Until then, they might not be as necessary as before, but there is still a need for them.

All of these things started because they had no representation in the mainstream. There was definitely a time when it was an all black college or no college at all. Whether or not the time has come to phase these things out is something we will all have to decide as a whole. It would be nice if these things really aren't necessary anymore because we have conquered racism.

None of the historically Black college are "all" black. (I went to two of them and trust me, there are more whites at Black colleges than there are Blacks at most White colleges) For the majority of history, most of America's colleges were all white. Till this day there are tons of colleges around the nation with little to no Black students. nobody seems to have a problem wioth all female schools, are catholic and jesuit schools.
As for TV stations again, there are plenty of stations that show nothing but programming targeted to white people. Black people have two. (TV-one and BET) and the unofficial Black station (CW)
