Society is people and people often don't learn how to choose their own path - they conform, obey, and live how Hollywood, Madison Avenue, Wall Street, and Academia tells them how to live.
Society is selfish and vane. Selfishness and vanity leads to a failed purpose.
Compassion, integrity, and wisdom lead to purpose and satisfaction.
