Boulevard of Broken Songs was a popular mash-up mixed by San Francisco, California, DJ and producer Party Ben in late 2004. The mix consisted of elements from Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", Oasis' "Wonderwall", Travis' "Writing to Reach You" and Eminem's "Sing for the Moment" which itself samples Aerosmith's "Dream On". "Sing for the Moment" was used solely because Party Ben did not have "Dream On" on hand and was on deadline for his "Sixx Mixx" radio show. Later versions used Aerosmith's original.

Green Day, who presents the song "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" also has several hits to their discography. If you do a search for their official website, you're sure to find them--and much more about the band themselves.

My favorite Green Day songs are "Longview" and "Welcome To Paradise", from their break-out "Dookie" album. I also like their recent offering called "Wake Me Up When September Ends" as well.

Green Day, rushed in during the burst flow of emerging "alternative rock" in it's infancy, is one of those "jewel" bands that shone through in a sea of musical garbage and crap---which sadly prevails to this day.
