I have to write a 10-20 pg research paper on a topic in human physiology using medical journals primarily as sources. I have an entire 7 days to focus just on this task. Does this sound feasible to come out with a respectable looking paper? Of course it depends on what topic I choose to research, any suggestions would be extremely helpful thanks. This is for a human phys course.

If you are in college it is (or should be). In high school I had to take a writing class. The class lasted a semester and required writing a 10 to 20 page (double spaced) paper complete with note cards, bib, etc. This was nothing compared to junior college. I'd routinely write seven to ten page reports for a couple classes each week. By the time I got to a four year school I would have to write weekly lab papers, complete with outside (library) research, in excess of 20 pages.

In work life I thought this would go away. No, I routinely write documentation papers that are five to ten pages single spaced. This is JUST the text portion; not the diagrams or screen shots.

Instead of posting on YAHOO! get busy writing SOMETHING. That is the biggest block to most tasks; getting started. Once you have SOMETHING in the computer you will feel much more at ease.

The biggest thrill for me at least was my first published work in a magazine. The circulation of the magazine was 50,000 at the time. So if only half the people reading the magazine read my article it meant 25,000 people read my work. This WILL make you want to be sure you check your facts and get everything right. I now publish on the magazine's web site. My work has been sited on numerous other web sites as well.

Stop stalling by asking if 7 days is enough time. Get on it! The hardest part is just starting. Once you start, it gets better.
