Johan Santana by default.
I would say Carlos Zambrano, but the poor guy got no run support, and no back up from the bull pin last year.
I'm a Red Sox fan, but enough with Dice-K. He's gonna be a 15-16 game winner with a mid 3 ERA, but a workhouse with ungodly amounts of innings pitched.

but for right now I'd have to say Santana.
As a Sox fan I'm very disappointed in Dice-K considering the fact that we spent 100 million just for the rights to talk w/ him.
The best young pitchers are: Papelbon(I wish he was going to start this year), Liriano(unbelievable stuff even though he got hurt this year), Bonderman( going to have a 15 or 20 win season). I also think that Huston Street is going to have a good year.
Ask this question again about a quarter of the way through the season.

Oswalt is nasty and very conistent
if Jake Peavy gets it straight he could be very good.
