The bear was born in the zoo not meant to be set free. Animal rights activists believe it won't have any natural instincts for the wild but it's not meant to be in the wild. It was born for the zoo to be put on display. Animal rights ppl think it should have been killed but the zoo staff are trying to save and hope for it to be a great addition to the zoo and maybe even a stud for other zoos.

Polar bears are on the Endangered Species list. We better hope that the little guy grows up big and healthy and finds a lady friend and makes lots of baby bears, cause the way we're using up the Arctic, captivity may be the ONLY place on earth to see a real live polar bear before this century is over. Personally, I'd a lot rather see them in a controlled environment if that's the only way to keep 'em around, then to know that they went extinct on my watch, as it were.

I see no reason what so ever to kill this baby bear .It is living in the only environment it probably will ever know so the thought of killing the bear is ludicrous

I'm all for the bear. He can't help it that he had a crappy mom who deserted him. Now if he just survive without her in the zoo.
