who do you think is the stig? me and my husband watched a clip on the net where he spoke for a few seconds and i thought it was jennson button but my hubby thinks it's someone from touring car.

As an avid fan of Top Gear, I can tell you that there is no one person that is Stig. Stig is many people, actually. For example, when Renault gave TG guys the F1 car to run it around the track, that was not the "original" Stig driving it. It was their F1 driver dressed in white. Same thing when Jeremy came to US, to do his latest documentary. Supposedly he "shipped" Stig to US, but it was apparent that it was a woman driving the Lotus (vs. a Mustang Raush I believe). So the Stig is a number of people, and I'm not sure if there is a driver that has spent more time with TG than others. Hope this helps. =) Go Top Gear!!!!

Perry McCarthy was the first Stig, but he had a habit of telling people so they 'killed' him and replaced him with Stig 2.

The stig is Perry McCarthy - he is a former F1 driver and test driver for the Benetton, Arrows and Williams teams, and also tested for BMW F1

i have forgot who the 1st stig is but i no the stig now is not the original but dont no who, sorry but a little bit of information for you. i would like to no as well.

Jason Plato.. Touring car champion... Hes had some tv apperances and done a series of 5th Gear...... Not sure though..... It probably is many different people...For example I doubt a touring car driver could do a ski jump on a snow mobile....But surely its the same guy doing the laps every show??

It's not Jenson Button. I know that much. He is nobody famous, i'm convinced, and I also think there is more than one person who is the stig.

The Stigs are different people who are most likely ex race drivers, they most likely are not that famous otherwise they wouldn't be anominous
