Why do I hear caucasians saying the word "ghetto" I used to work at a store and these caucasian girls were trying on jeans, and said they had a ghetto booty as if it were a bad thing, only thing was their butts were flat as heck. Or if they see something not quite right, they say that's ghetto, these are rich girls now, why should I not be offended by this

Well I want to add, I know these girls are young, but I don't want them to say it around somebody else, who might take it further. They won't stop unless I tell them that it offends some african-americans

You said they were young. It is the provenance of the young to try their hands at making up their own language, hopefully one that the dreaded grownups won't twig to too quickly.
Let 'em be, dear. Fortunately, most of them WILL grow up and get over it.
