Kind of like the old days in certain societies? Please don't report me, I seriously want to know what people think.

An example in modern day would be the Samaritans in Israel.

I think the days of The Red Tent are long gone kiddo.

There are some ancient traditions I uphold but this one is just impossible to uphold in today's world.

The idea that a woman is unclean and must be separated during her menses sounds awful to modern women but in reality, since life was so hard back then, this was a monthly holiday for the women. They got to rest, gossip, catch up on their weaving or embroidery and not go near a cookfire for the whole time. Of course, because society was so rural, and the women lived in close proximity, their menses were often at the same time.

As for touching a warrior's spear or whatever as being bad luck, that is sheer nonsense. But the idea of a monthly holiday is not tooooo bad for a woman who works as hard as women did back then.

The practice of separating women who are menstruating from society goes back to the prehistoric times, and still has some slight traces on some religious disciplines in the Middle East,Turkey, and Asia.At that time women were believed to have some divine attributes, because they were creating new humans;that is,they were giving birth to babies and people couldn't figure out how it worked. Therefore, women were in a much more powerful position and that time is called the matriarchal era,in which all religious figures were female(goddesses) and men would have themselves circumcised for the sake of the sacred prostitutes in the temples(the origin of circumcising in Islam and Judaism).
At that time, women who were having their menstrual period were believed to be cursed for a while and they were isolated from the society. That is to say,the practice you are mentioning is peculiar to the very old ages and applying it today is something like using stone tools as did our ancestors do thousands years ago.
Best wishes.

I would say that perhaps a woman should take care of herself even if it is going to the beach. Getting to understand herself better during that time. Alone time is certainly helpful. Also if it's that bad perhaps seek some medical help.

A woman's cycle is not a bad thing.

There is a lot of reading material. You should read this book.

"Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom"? Christiane Northrup, M.D.

Is this really a serious question? If so you need to get out of the olden days though I know some women would really like that.

The Native American's had the right idea. Send them to a lady's only tent. Give them the whole time off. No work, no cooking, no crafting. Just chillin waiting for the 'time' to pass. I am quite willing to sign up for my monthly days off.

That would be great. You buy a second house--a beach house. I'll go there once a month for a nice vacation. Thank you.
