That has happened to me before when I lost too much weight (not intentionally). I got really busy with friends, school, and sports and just wasn't making the time to eat well. If you are not too thin, it might be a cyst which is still nothing to worry about. I wouldn't worry about it, but I'd mention it to your mom. If it keeps up, you should probably let your Dr. know just in case. Good luck to you.

When I first got my "period", it took 6 months before the second one came. Each woman is different. I was told by a doctor that any blood, whether it's a few drops or a whole pad full, is a menstrual cycle. The cramping is normal, too. One thing that most women do not realize is that stress can cause you to be late, too. Have you had any stress lately? If so, try to find a calm place to hang out for a few hours a day. Get out of the stress so your body can function as it should. If you haven't been under any stress, and this problem continues to next month, go see your GYN doctor. You may have cysts on your ovaries. I have some, and it will cause your period to be late or not even happen the way it should. The bad news is that they will go away and come back on their own. Even if you have surgery to remove a cyst, they will come right back- so I suggest to let nature help you. Unless you want to go under a knife every month. Anyway, get it checked if the problem continues. (Worrying about this is considered stress, Hun) Stop worrying so much and enjoy life. :-)

Obviously you've only been getting your period for about a year and a bit from what you have written. Perhaps you're hormones are changing and your cycle is trying to regulate itself.

Periods can be different every now and then but the question I would ask you is ... "Have you begun taking any hormones as in Birth Control Pills?" This could have something to do with the changes as well. If you are taking "the pill" then perhaps this is something your doctor should be aware of and could either change the dosage of your pills or change to another one altogether.

Please don't think I'm preaching to you .... BUT this needs to be said .... PLEASE remember to practise SAFE SEX if you are being sexually active.

I'm not suggesting that you are having sex but hopefully you are aware of all the STD's that you could contract.

If this irregularity with your period continues for the next few months, it may be a good idea to check with your doctor for some advice. There are many people in this Forum who don't answer these questions seriously, so be careful about what you listen to. It's always good to check it out with a professional.

Best of luck to you!

oh darling. many woman do not have NORMAL periods! i was an extreme athlete in high school, and consequently, due to the extreme amount of exercise during my adolescence, my period is ALWAYS irregular.

sometimes i go for 2 months straight without a period!

i've had the problem you are having right now -- i'll get a rush of blood for maybe 2-3 hours, then it stops, but then IT COMES BACK for 1-2 days! how weird! my gyno has always said this is normal -- in fact -- most women don't have 100% regularity with their periods (the ones that do are SO lucky!).

if you're very concerned, ask a gynocologist or your family doctor about it -- they would know the best whether your specific cycle is normal or not!

It can take years for you rperiods to become regular. I am 15 and have had mine for almost 4 years, and only this month i have been a week to early.
be thankful they are not that ehavy-you wont have to hcange as much!
if next month they are heavy then you will be kicking yourself for complaining!

You might just have a super dooper light period. Or spotting.

It could take up to two years for someone just starting menstruating to get a "normal" period.

make an appointment with your doctor to see if you have a cist in your uterus. a cit in the uterus may be causing less blood to come out through thvaginal opening. i had the fear of that once. i still can't figure out mi unregularyity in my period.
