I just got an 2GB ipod nano, I put some music on it but I wanna delete all of it, but when i try all the songs

are grey so I cannot delete them. How can I delete them? I went to owners device to try and delete them but they are all grey. I only have like 43 songs and it is almost full. Is it because they are from actual CD's not from the internet?

click "restore" that takes all the songs off, then delete everything you don't want from your library so that next time you update your ipod they won't come back
