It is hard to let my child grow up but I have enjoyed it at the same time. I find myself saying Stop Stop Stop Slow Slow Slow Go Go Go. But I do it in an acceptable tone and I pretend to be laid back. We can joke about it later. Do you have any funny stories to share?

I don't know if this is a funny one, but, we do remember it well. When my son was late getting home one night, (he was a new driver) I went out looking for him. When I found him he was speeding. I followed him, honked at him, and pulled him over, made him get out of the car, etc. He had a friend in the car so the whole thing was very memorable for him. He lost his driving privledges for a while and both of my sons said that after that they were constantly looking in their rear view mirrors to see if I was following them!!

My son just got his learner's. We're in a big city, so just starting out practicing in mall parking lot. Went last evening. I just sure wish we had a brake like they do in the driver ed car. No funny stories yet, I'm fairly relaxed about it, but concerned, too. He's mature, but is a maniac in computer racing games!
When I was learning to drive (mid 70s) it was interesting going with my dad, who was on the older side. I was shocked to discover he drove with TWO feet - yes, left on brake, right on accelerator - and he was supposed to help teach me? I guess from the old days when he had a standard, he just transferred his skills, and no one told him any different. So us kids always laugh about this - but he was a great driver!

They just scare me. Speed limit until they are at the stop sign,, then bam, instant neck breaking stop,, that's if they even stop.
