Has anyone are successfully made a decent pair of skis from 2 bits of Hot Wheels track?

Yes. I prefer to use the the curves of the hot wheel tracks. It makes it very easy to turn for me. If I stand on my right foot I turn right and if I stand on my left foot, I turn left.

No and I don't think that would be good enough for the rough skiing...
