I haven't had a period since Dec. 17, 2006. Cylce day 100 now. I went to the doctor Thursday for an annual pap test. Everything looked normal so far, I haven't got the test results back yet. They took blood and want me to have another ultrasound. I've been having a pain in my lower right stomach. I'm married and 23. I've taken 4 hpt's and one blood at the doctor. I'm not pregnant. I know I should just wait for the results, but the pain in my side really bothers me. What could it be? Thanks for your help.

I got my results back and the blood tests show everything is normal. Is there anything else that could be causing this?

I had the same problems before I had my first baby.

The pains were caused by a cyst on my ovary...in my case, my egg hadn't released and the build up of fluids burst the follicle and caused the pain....it happened quite often.

I had a really hard time getting pregnant. Lots of years of infertility treatments, but finally was diagnosed with a luteal phase defect. Basically, my ovulation wasn't "strong enough" and in turn, my progesterone levels were too low to sustain a pregnancy until the placenta takes over.

My guess is that you have a ovarian cyst. Not uncommon, and not usually dangerous. Hope it's your first and ONLY one!

Do you often have long cycles?

I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and sometimes feel pain in my ovaries and have cycles that long. It might be good for you to read about it a little and ask your doctor for more specific testing if you think you have the symptoms

Good luck! Hope everything is ok!

My mom had the same stuff and they finally found a syst on her uterus. It wasn't anything dangerous, they removed it and now she is fine.
