I need help upgrading my RAM on my pc. It has 512mb of RAM. I want at least 1024mb. How can I know what memory card is compatible with my system? Where can I get one cheap?

Also what can I do to not lose RAM or recover it back?

They have an interface that lets you enter your computer model and then they tell you what RAM will work with it. They are also pretty reasonably priced.

Enter purchase more RAM or something like that in the web browser and websites will appear where you can get the question answered, how much it cost,,,etc. You can also call Best Buy, Circuit City, etc and they also can answer that question...

you need to find out what model motherboard you have,look on the manufacture site of the board. try newegg.com or amazon.com for memory

unplug your 512mb RAM that you already have, it will tell you on it what type it is, then you will know what RAM to get.
