I am 28 years old and my husband and me have a 2 year old son and had no trouble getting pregnant with him, but have now been trying for almost a year for number 2! My cycles were about 34 days long, but after being on clomid for 2 months, it seems that my cylces are getting longer! I am ovulating very late and the clomid does not seem to be changing my ovulation patterns! I'm not sure what the next step is???

I would discuss (with your doctor) monitoring your cycle with the help of blood tests and ultrasound, to make sure that the follicles are growing and that you are in fact ovulating.

In addition, you don't want to use clomid for too long, as it's known to cause thinning of the uterine lining after more than a few cycles (usually the doctor recommends taking a break after 3 cycles).

Remember, that having conceived in the past means that your chances are very good. Don't get stressed about this. It will happen, it's just a matter of when.

Good luck!
