Okey, I'm a Ameriacn Fanatic, why does sanjaya stay on even though he is so bad?

I know why...apparently Howard Stern is telling everyone on his radio network to vote for him. He wants to change the history of the show by having someone terrible win.
I don't watch American Idol often, but I know this much.

He's there because he's awesome. Why does everyone assume it's Howard Stern or VoteForTheWorst.com
It's because he has a huge fan base. And not just little girls ~ I'm not a little girl. Sanjaya rocked the house with "you Got Me Going" He is living the dream. That's what this contest is about. A noone making it big ~ not a professional singer finally getting a record deal!
Sanjaya is an American Idol ~ uh yeah he his AMERICAN!
Get over it!

I heard that one of the other networks is playing a part in Sanjaya continuing on in American Idol. First, they want the show to fail (so try to keep on a guy who can't sing), second, ABC is planning a new tv series pilot featuring the Geico Caveman. Rumor has it that they have already struck a deal for Sanjaya to star in the sitcom. I'll be sure to watch...

I don't know how many Indians live here in the US, but if each of them votes for Sanjaya, let's say using 3 to 4 different phones, Sanjaya will end up with the Idol title. Him himself realizes that he doesn't belong there.

i think people, mostly teenagers, are fascinated with his hair regardless of if he can't even sing. American Idol is not fair to me because America bases their opinions on looks and not talent. Last week Stephanie went home and to me, i thought she had a chance of winning it. She did not deserve to go home, but Sanjaya who doesn't deserve to even be on the show, continues to stay every week. I won't be suprised if he won the show. Sometimes i think they should let the judges decide and not America.

Vote for the Worst encourages people to vote for him... a lot of teenage and preteen girls like him (I'm 14, but I don't like him)... if this continues, it's gonna be a runoff between Melinda Doolittle and Sanjaya Malakar.

If America has a dumb as a president, they can have a gay that cannot sing as an American Idol. And what´s worst, he´s going to win with the mayority of votes, not just because one state elected him....

let me tell u why..... people loves to see the worst because if not, its boring just to see the good ones, so sometimes u need someone to make the show a little bit more interesting... or maybe some crazy people can identified wth him so thats why the vote for him.. or maybe we(the americans) have become insane.

Because a lot of people seem to be under the impression that it's a looks competition instead of a singing competition.
I personally think he's creepy looking, but a lot of young girls seem to think he's cute.

Because AI is no longer a singing contest, its popularity. look at taylor hicks, he's a good singer but he's no where close to carry underwood.
