i dont use live messenger to my knowledge, and i do not know if the realtek ac 97 makes any difference ie. what is its role, function etc. can anyone help.

find it among the list
then click remove!

To uninstall a program, you would click on the start button and go to the Control Panel and then click on add or remove programs...this will bring up a list of all the programs that are on your computer...click on the one you want to remove and it should give you the option to uninstall it. You will probably have to restart your computer. The Realtek ac 97 is an audio device that allows your computer to play back music. You may want to keep it...Good luck.

You remove through the add/remove programs option in the control panel. realtek ac 97 should not be removed as this is your sound drivers and therefore you wouldn't get any sound out of your pc without it.

To uninstall messenger.. do this.. start-control panel-add/remove programs - click on remove.. uninstall all compenents(if asked) not sure about ya realtek

realtek is your sound card driver .. don't remove that !! uninstalling messenger .. just go to your add remove programme
