Hello all you world dominators who love risk!

My question is, when you do a tactical/tropmovement/fortifacation (whatever you want to call it) is the rule that you can only move from Indonesia to Siam? Or can you move from Indonesia to Ukraine if you own the teritories in between?

We have always played you can only move from 1 territory to another, but our rule book sounds like you can move greater distances if you own the peices in between, even my Risk2 computer game doesn't do that. What's the scoop?

No. The rules as I remember them are Tactical moves can only be made from one territory to a neighboring territory. I also only play the computer version now which is not as fun because I used to love those Risk marathons that took 4 days to win.

You can only move 1 territory but there are different ways of playing Risk as stated in the rulebook and in one way moving across more than 1 territory is allowed

Hi there,

In the original rules of Risk, at the end of your turn a player may move as many army pieces as they want from one country to an adjacent one as long as they keep at least one army in that county. Newer versions of the game have added additional rules. One of those rules is that a player may fortify as many pieces from one country to another as long as there is a direct line connecting the two countries. Why your computer game doesn't do that I have no clue.

Cheers.

international kin. that is like danger with all the success taken out. that is thoroughly strategic and all approximately alliances, negotiations and betrayal and such. The objective is to take over all of Europe, yet no single military can taken out an opposing one without help. that is kinda confusing to discover a replica, yet a interest save or extra focussed board sport save might probably have one.
