Yes. Even if Matsuzaka doesn't pan out and meet those lofty expectations, Boston's bats will supply plenty of run support in general.

Personally, I am a New York Yankees fan, but I will write the truth. The Boston Red Sox have a great chance of making the playoffs this year, due to some great offseason moves. Matsuzaka, the Japanese pitcher, is showing some of his greatness in Spring Training. They still have David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez, so I like their chances of going deep into the playoffs, possibly the World Series.

The health of the pitching staffs for the Red Sox, Yanks and Blue Jays will have a lot to do with it. Schilling is almost 40, and Papelbon is back in the 'pen. The Yanks already have problems with Wang on the DL, and they have to count on Pavano for something. The Jays have Halladay and Burnett who could get hurt at any second.
It will be difficult to get in the playoffs through the wild card with the White Sox, Twins, Tigers, and Indians having the potential for 90+ wins.

The Red Sox always have a good chance of making the playoffs. Even if they dont surpass the NYY all they have to do is remain better than the next best 2nd place team in the AL. Alot of good changes will help them this year, having Drew in RF will help. They also have a young talent named Youkilis who might do even better than last year. The biggest upside for the Red Sox are their bullpen acquisitions. Matsuzaka, Tavarez, Romero, Donnelly and Pineiro will immensily help their pitching depth which is very well needed in the AL East.

To have that ensue neither The purple Sox or Yankees might win the yank East. Tampa Bay might have made up the version and previous the two considered one of them. Toronto may additionally yet a real long shot.besides to them the two being handed in the AL East. yet another non triumphing branch group might desire to have a greater effectual checklist then the Yankees and purple Sox. at the instant the Angels are 5 video games in the back of.

Good chance, at a wild card spot.
U know the Blue Jays will start out hot, and then fade.
When it comes down 2 it, it'll be the Yanks and Sox, like it always is.

It all matters on there pitching staff and how good they do. If Beckett is last years Beckett then no he gave up to many homeruns. Pap is a good closer but he's far from the best closer in the al east.
GO YANKS

they have a good chance of getting in, but i think they will lose in the first round. 'Dice K' will collapse from all the media, and he will be like a-rod in the the playoffs. he wont be able to come through.
im a die-hard yanks fan, so u'd better thank me for being honest!
