It means that you have low iron in your blood. Symptoms of this are feeling cold and VERY tired or lethargic. A doctor can tell you with a simple fingerprick test. You can take an iron supplement, or eat foods rich in iron. Quaker oatmeal has alot of iron, so do iron-fortified cereals , raisins, and kale.

Anemia in women of childbearing age is very common. It is generally caused by decreased iron in the Red Blood Cells. This decreased iron makes the Red Blood Cells, which carry oxygen, smaller than ordinary and paler. This condition can cause you to be tired, lack energy, etc. It is good to be checked over by a doctor to be sure this is the cause. If so, you may be helped by trying to eat a good, well balanced diet, take a regular multi vitamin, daily and add an iron supplement if your doctor approves.

Just get checked out and, I bet, you'll feel better.

There are different kinds of anemia, resulting from a lack of different things. If you have iron deficiency anemia-it means you are lacking iron in your blood, which is responsible for binding with oxygen to carry throughout your body. When you have this, you are often fatigued, pale, sometimes short of breath (the more severe it is). It can be dangerous if not taken care of and it gets out of hand.
