You went to the hospital at 6 cm and they released you? Does your doctor know that you're 6 cm? Try squatting leaning over your belly on top of a towel and hold it as long as you can. That should help you break your water and move things along. Just be sure that once you do that you can get to the hospital very quickly or you'll deliver at home. Best of luck.

Walking, sex just about anything right now will keep pushing you along. It's just a skip and a jump from 6 to 10 believe me..lol..lol. I found out the hard way. Good LUCK!!! Mom to 3.

Anything beyond 3 cm is considered active labor. GET back to the hospital!!

After 5 cm I think your already in active labor. Will the baby be preterm? If not then I think they should have kept you. I would get a second opinion.

I just saw this on dateline the other day that it's a myth to go in to labor early for having sex. So I have to say no it won't.

Sexual Intercourse has been known to help the dialation. It help me. But, to be frank, it must be hard in order to work. There is no way your partner can hurt the unborn baby unless you actually start labor during it. :-) Have fun!!

just go to the mall and walk around for a couple hours. That will work really well. I wouldn't chance it with the sex.

If you are 6cm, then you should be in labor. Go back!

I don't know what the medical facts are... but I don't think raising your blood pressure and suchis recomended for you or the baby... why aren't you asking a doctor? You should hardly trust this qquestion to the internet.

I can't believe they sent you home!! You could try sex or walking lots of walking.
