A proxy is one can say a another puter which acts indirect when you surf. for example can a proxy have a big cache so you got pages faster.

2) A proxy stores your website history and will allow you to connect to the same website in a cached state, which results in a faster connection (since content is available even when offline).

Although they are sometimes thought of interchangeably, they each have functions which control the passage of web traffic.
