Love is a strong positive emotion. There are various type of love, and it can grow or diminish.
Marriage is a legal contract (union) between people in which they bind their lives (and often their assets) together for a period of time.
Marriages are typically successful when the people married for the right reasons, and grow/change throughout their lives at a similar rate and in similar ways, and have strong feelings for one another...when they face adversity together and handle challenges without throwing in the towel too quickly ...when they feel their committment to their relationship is too important to let go (only as a last resort)...

When two people meet and are infatuated with each other and think they can't live without each other and get married, that is a love marriage.
When the parents of and boy and the parents of a girl make an agreement between themselves for the boy and girl to get married without any input from the boy or girl, that is an arranged marriage.
Either one can be a success and either one can fail.
The love marriage is often based on infatuation or lust and the common values and beliefs are not taken into consideration until after the marriage. Sometimes couples can work these out and sometimes their values and beliefs will drive them apart.
The arranged marriage puts two individuals together who may or may not have ever met one another. They are usually from similar backgrounds so their values and beliefs are very likely quite similar. We then are faced with individual chemistry or attraction. Does either party feel any attraction for the other and can they manage to interact with each other in a friendly manner? If the couple can't manage to tolerate each other it will drive them apart.
In summation, either can one can be a success or failure depending upon the couple.

No one should ever be married for no other reason than love. It should be two people loving each other unconditionally and working together on a daily basis for the same thing....staying happy, becoming closer to each other, helping each other, being kind and compassionate, understanding each other even in difficult times, respecting each others feelings and ..... doing this till death do you part. Marriage is a lifetime committment although it very seldom happens that way in today's world. A marriage is what the two make it........

I don't know about love but when they born their parents vowed them to be married , I think most of then stay together out of loyalty to their parents. Marriage just two people decided that would love , honer, obey goes down the drain more then if it was arranged. Arranged there is money involved like sitting them up in company's, big restaurants in Mexico and they stay because of the money .

love-you choose your partner. the idea is love comes before marriage
arranged-your parents choose your partner and you approve or disapprove. the idea is love comes after marriage
both can be successful if there is compatibility...neither if you are both incompatible
don't believe those that say arranged marriages don't work. Those are biased opinions.

arranged marriages are never successful because they did'nt love eachother.you should only marry because you are in love with that person not because you are told to marry them..
