service pack 2 trouble?

i have a old laptop and i installed windows xp professional from a cd,how can i install servics pack 2 while the validation keeps on rejecting my laptop?

Unless you obtain a disk for SP2, you're out of luck. If the validation is being rejected, it's probably because you installed a "used" copy of XP Pro.
