I don't know. But I'm the same. Maybe it's because on the phone I never feel as if I'm in control. If they call first, I have to wait for them to decide to hang up. Or if I'm ready to hang up, a lot of people keep talking.

I hate talking on the phone too! I thought it was weird. I have caller ID and I rarely answer it even if I know who it is. But if it is my best friend, I can talk for hours. Geesh, good to know I'm not alone.

Well, I know I can be like that sometimes. For me I sometimes feel that they may be rolling their eyes at me or are annoyed that I am calling, but in person I can read their expressions on their face and such. Hope this helps.

Just human nature. Don't be so concerned. It's no big deal. What in the world are you concerned about doing? Using the "F" word to your priest?
