A Class D felony will be added to any charges against someone in a domestic violence situation if the perpetrator committed the offense in the physical presence of a child less than sixteen (16) years of age, knowing that the child was present and might be able to see or hear the offense.

If you live in a large enough town, there should be a Legal Aid Society branch that could give you that info for free, otherwise, go to this webpage and do a bit of research and you should find what you need, or, at the very least, a phone number of someone to call.. probably your children's advocacy, or some such.. http://www.indiana.gov/ai/law/

I'm a Hoosier, but I'm not sure there is a law that prevents adults from fighting in front of minors. I'd recommend you contact the local Family Services agency in your town and see if they can help you. -RKO-

It's called domestic violence...and it applies whether children are present or not.
Your state may have added additional penalties. But I do not know the exact ruling
