How come there is two spellings of that word?

Favorite and favourite?

we changed it cause wew wanted to be more origanal

because favourite comes from the United Kingdom just like colour does and favorite is how it is spelled in the united states.

One is the English (England) spelling and the other is the American spelling. There are quite a few words spelt differently where those two countries are concerned.

There are several words which fit into this category. "Favorite" is the more modern spelling while "favourite" is the way folks used to spell it; however, they are both considered correct.

You will find this in many poems by the authors of "yesteryear".

yes one is the british way- favourite
and the other way is the american way :)

usually you find favourite in british classics

also with color/colour

because british people and australian people need to be different and they like attention thats why!! haha just kidding, but yeah they also spell "color" as "colour".. weird huh.
