It's too early at that point to actually give birth. More than likely you would have a D&C (dilation and curettage) which is a surgery where they open your cervix and scrape everything out. I've had one and it's horrible. I'm sorry if this is something you are going through.

Doctors sometimes do a "D and C" to take the baby's body out. Usually, they wait for the baby to come out naturally, This is the healthiest and safest way for the body to be delivered. A D and C is a Dilation and Curetage. The baby's body still comes out vaginally but the doctors take it out.

If it died in the womb then a doctor would have to perform a procedure in order to get it out most likely. I lost one and I think I was a little over a month along. I got checked out and I was lucky I didn't have to do that.

It depends, what you had was a miscarriage, some women experience bleeding which can possible get rid of everything in the uterus, and if not you will have to have a D&C. It is a minor surgical procedure, I had on about 3 months ago and I was eight weeks pregnant.

this may sound gross but since the baby's not any bigger than several centimeters, it may come out some other way than by having a d and c. a d and c sounds really painful.

That would be a miscarriage at 10 weeks gestational age and you wouldn't go through labor.

It will have to come out. It would be called a miscarriage. Cramps and feelings of a very hard period and you will deliver the dead fetus. I'm sorry.

Unfortunately, the answer to that is not necessarily. This happened to me years ago and I had to have a d&c.
