Q: Is an automatic easier to drive?
A: YES. YES. YES.
No more trying to hold the accelerator and clutch down with one foot. No more worry about rolling backwards when trying to take off from a red light. No more shifting down in traffic.
Literally all you have to do in an automatic is this: turn the key to start the car. Put the gear shift in 'D' for 'drive'. Press the accelerator to go. Press the brake to stop. Easy, peasy, Japanesey.

An automatic is much easier and safer for someone who's a nervous driver. You have mobility with your hands in certain conditions when driving an automatic unlike having to shift with a manual. If you know how to drive manual there's really not much of a need to learn automatic. There are dual drives on the market as well.

I think there are some differences that you will have to get used to. It isn't tough to learn again. But is definitely easier in an automatic. Make sure you have someone show you all the bells and whistles in the automatic. Good Luck!

Your feet have less to do in an automatic.
Transmission problems are more expensive than manual.
For me, driving either one is easy...I learned on a 3 speed manual but currently drive an automatic.
