i hvnt had my period and my vagina is itchy-is there a connection?

I don't think so, but it could be a vaginal infection. See your doctor if this could be the case.
Other symptoms to recognize vaginal infection: green or yellow discharge, which smells somewhat of fish.

The itching could be thrush - go to the chemist and ask for creams. If the itching continues, see your doctor.

It could also be pubic lice - look closely and if there's any white specks in your hair, seek treatment as soon as poss.

Being itchy is the first and true sign of a Yeast Infection. You can get meds for this over the counter if you don't want to go to a doctor. If a doctor tells you it is a Yeast Infection, or the over the counter meds work, then a big tip in preventing it from reoccurring is yogurt. Yogurt has live, good "bacteria" in it that help fight off the excess bad "bacteria" that make up the Yeast Infection. Just eat one or two cups every two or three days. You shouldn't get a Yeast Infection again. If you do, however, it won't be often. :-)
