I'm just now finding out that a lot of the songs I liked when I was growing up were Marvin Gaye songs. Everyday, it seems more and more of them can be attributed to him. This guy is amazing. Anyway, my personal all time favorite is "What's Going On?". What's yours?

AHHH I can't choose!
I love "Heard it Through the Grapevine" (I listened to that ALL the time when I was a kid because we didn't have a radio, only my parents records).
But I also love "What's Going On," "Let's Get It On," "Mercy Mercy Me," and "Everybody Plays the Fool."
And then of course there's "Me and Mrs. Jones" and "Sexual Healing" which are also great tunes.
Too many good songs to chosse from!!!

What's going on...oh that song makes me cry! I love all of Marvin Gayes music...the box set is wonderful. There is also a dvd of him in concert..it is so good..go to tower.com you can buy all of Marvin Gayes music there at great prices.
What a shame he was killed by his own father...!

What's going on, also is one of my favorite's he did!! There also was one, he did with Diana Ross, called: "I'm gonna make you love me" I really like that song, by the two of them.. She wrote that song "Missing You" and dedicated it to him when he was shot by his father....... Such a sad story, for both his frustrated father and him being on drugs you know.. I also liked his song "Sexual Healing"......my 2nd husband & I both loved that one!! Oh, the whole "Motown Sound" willl always take me "Mentally back home" to Long Beach Cal...Mentally, you know......Thanx, for the memory!! Great Question, hun!!! Smile!!!

Yeah "What's Going On" tops the list for me. It has a good message that everyone can groove to. "Sexual Healing" Is nice too.
