In my early days of marriage, we had very little money. One day I bought a draw ticket and won £100. Not a lot today, but a lot then. I booked us into a hotel in the middle of nowhere. I told the staff we were newly married, and they spoiled us something rotten. We lounged about on a king-size bed, watching TV in the middle of the day when we would normally have been working. We had the choice of the menu - stuff we had never eaten before, only dreamed about. And no food preparation, no washing up. Then we went for a long walk, something we would never normally do - and talked. Really talked. Then we sat down to the menu again.
The view from our room was over lakes and woods. The staff even gave us bread to go down and feed the ducks.
And that is only the romantic side. I will leave it up to you to image what the night after a day like that was like......
And a star for reminding me!

Yes!The night my husband proposed to me.He got down on bended knee,just like in the movies.He took my hand in his and proceeded to pour his heart out to me.It was just so romantic.We were married for 20 yrs. and had 3 sons.He never lost that romantic aura.But he passed away 16 yrs.ago.I probably won't marry again.I haven't found anyone as romantic as he was.Thanks for reminding me to remember.

I do. When my boyfriend and I start to argue constantly, we go to a hotel for a night to just get in some "alone time" with eachother(even tho we live together) its funny I kno, but it works

yea me and my friend were sharing a hotel bed and at like 5 in the morning she started throwing up. not something i want to remember.
