I'm just about 13 years old and I'm wearing black to a wedding, which is today.
Shirt-Black with light purple polka dots
Pants and Shoes- Black

Is this considered bad? I don't want to stick out to much.
Opinions please?

I dont think its bad if you wear black, as long as you wear some accesories that are colorful. Since your shirt is black with light purple polka dots, why dont you wear a light purple necklace, braclet, or earings. And dont worry, i've worn black to a wedding to, and its perfectly okay!

hope this helps! have fun at the wedding!

I was always told that the two colors one should NEVER wear to a wedding were white and black, but lately it seems that a very trendy thing to do for an evening wedding is to have the freakin' BRIDESMAIDS wearing black! And a lot of women will wear their little black dresses as well. So I think you're going to get answers on both sides of the fence on this one. Me, I wouldn't wear black to a wedding. Ever.

Don't worry about it. Make sure your makeup is light (no heavy blcak eyeliner or you'll start to look goth... bad for a wedding) and try to add more purple jewelry andaccessories to brighten it up a bit.
As long as you have a good time and smile and speak graciously, no one cares what you're wearing.

since it has light purple in the shirt its not too bad but personally I wouldnt wear black to a wedding unless maybe if its at night- so if it is you are fine. try to lighten up your look but putting your hair loosley up, light colored make up and some fun accesories.

Make it your style. Dark makeup but not too harsh. put black eyeliner above and under. not in the eye under. and they add a purple eyeshadow. and wear heels to add a girlly effect.

Maybe with some purple eyeshadow, and a purple necklace or some earrings it would be ok.
