im seriously about to buy 93 civic hatch with a blown motor for 500 so i need to know best motor for it like b18a1 d16a1? wa kinds, best performance but not to pricey

defintely the B16b from civic type-R.. the Vtec is pretty darn powerfull.. b18a1 is good choice too but NO NO NO to the D series whimp! and dont forget to get those Apexi V-Afc to make the vtec screams even quicker.. (stock vtec open at 5400rpm)

any motor will fit just about. depends on how much money u have. personally i am going tp put a k24 from a tsx and put a turbo on it. bang for the buck is an ls/vtec swap.

try motors from a 1996 civic or integra(RSX). Most reliable from japan.

i have a 95 SI hatch with a b16 DOHC from a del sol. til someone stole it saturday!!!!!! im fricken piss lol. i love the power. if it's a SI already then you won't have to do any extra wiring ;)
