No one in my family is really home and I have a cat so a hamster or anything like a hamster is out of the question and my cat loves tuna and salmon so fish is out of the question too. I really want the responsibility and care of another pet. Here are my options:
Retired Seeing-Eye Dog
Bunny
Turtle
Budgie
Please help!

My hamster Sniffles got out of her cage and we found my cat gnawing on Sniffles leg and as you can imagine, Sniffles was dead. That is why I don't want another hamster.

bunnies are cute, but I don't think your cat would thank you for getting another furry friend. If you get a dog, your cat might resent it and you for bringing another animal into his/her domain. A bird might annoy your cat, so I think your best bet would be a turtle.
My cats used to be afraid of my hamster. She used to run around the house in a little ball and chase my cats. It was quite funny.

I would have to say some sort of a bird such as a parakeet or canary. If the cage is secure the cat shouldn't be a problem. Also fish are pretty low maintenance. They are in a covered tank with a filter so your cat could not get to them anyway. Stick with fresh water fish. I have birds, fish, cats, and dogs and everyone shares the house beautifully.

I think it depends on what kind of time you have to give to a new pet. If you choose the dog, it will need walking an being played with. Being a seeing eye dog means it is well trained though and shouldn't cause your cat any problems. The dog also is a great source of affection...dogs love their owners:-)Bunnies can be good, but you need to clean their pen alot. I have never had any of the other two, so I can't say what it would be like to have one.

Retired Seeing-Eye Dog sounds great, but hard to come by.
A rabbit is the best bet, otherwise.
P.S. Having a cat doesn't cancelled out the possibilities of owning small rodents. I have 1 cat, and 3 rats and they get along just fine.

Your cat liking canned tuna and you wanting a fish tank are two completely different things. The cat might look at the fish, but he won't bother them. If you want fish, go for it. They're the easiest pets. And the same with a hamster, but they're more work. The cat won't bother them....

please dont get a dog if there going to be no one home no matter how old as they still need human contact, affection and walks. i suggest a budgie, maybe a minor bird as these can talk and so make them more interesting, i had a budgie once called billie it was blue cryied like a baby when it died, and i was 12, sad, i dont think so i got attached to it, but neh hearing them sing is relaxing, turtles and bunnies are boring

I would go with a dog. Rabbits and turtles stink. You may be able to pet a rabbit but you can't teach it 2 do tricks and its just not affectionete. Turtles could be petted 2 but there not soft and cuddly and just like rabbits you can't teach a turtle tricks, you can't walk a turtle, you can't do any activity w/your pets exempt for cleaning up after it and petting it. With a dog you can do so many things. You can teach it tricks, u can cuddle w/it you can take it for a walk, you can play fetch, play ball, etc.

the cost relies upon on your canines's breed, age, the place you reside, and how lots plan you get, yet a ballpark cost could be everywhere from $20 to $80 5 in line with month. I advise doing analyze and finding a plan that covers all injuries and illnesses devoid of difficult payout schedules. Trupanion will pay ninety% of the truly expenditures devoid of any limits.
