Just curious. I was married only once for 29 years. If you care to include if your marriage(s) were happy or not, that would be additional information I would appreciate. My marriage was not a happy one. It's only fair that I tell you that if I am asking you. Please only sincere answers. Thank you.

YYT, you ever wonder why you aren't married?
To everyone else, thank you so much for your honest answers. They are very interesting and give me hope!
Daiquiri, Good for you! You did the right thing. Your kids are fortunate that you and your ex continue to put the kids first.

I was married one time for almost 5 years. We married after knowing each other only 3 months (I was 19, he was 22). We had 2 kids. He was obsessive, abusive, & drank a lot. I got divorced. We have been divorced now for 6 years, with joint custody being very successful. The kids always, always, always come first.

Thanks for your comment. I think a lot of my motivation is from taking things "1 day at a time."

I will be married for 9 years on April 3rd. We have 2 awesome children and have a very happy marriage. I wouldn't want to be with anyone else. We got married when we were 20, so we were young. That is also not to say that we haven't had the normal ups and downs either. Good luck to you in the future.

I got pregnant when I was 16, and married her father on my 18th birthday. We didn't even make it two years. He didn't work the whole entire time we were married. He was also physically and mentally abusive. I've been married to my second husband for almost three years. We have had plenty of rocky times, but our love is geniune. He just started a new job about two months ago, making twice as much, working half as much as the job he had for four years. I think now that he is making more and able to provide for our family better (and having time to enjoy being with me and the kids) The rocky times have stopped. Over all I guess you could say my second marriage is pretty happy.

I have been married just once. It was 7ys ago last December. The first 3 yrs were a bit hard on me, due to my husbands epilepsy being uncontrolled at the time. I thought I was going to loose him many times. I believe it has made us stronger and I am thankful everyday to have him. No marriage is perfect all the time, but you must have open communication and understanding, and the willingness to see the others point of view.

I have only been married once so far and am currently still in this marriage. We are celebrating our third year of marriage this June. Yep, completing three and heading on into four. We have a few (or more) fights here and there but we're happy. I'm still thinking about the party we'll have on our 25th wedding anniversary... :)

I've been married only once, for 6 years now and I would say it's a happy marriage. Things go up and down and I'm sure it will always be that way,but I would never call us unhappy.

Just once. It will be 7 years in June. It's a happy marriage 85% of the time.

This is my first marriage, and by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, we will have been married 6 years this July. We have a very intense, happy marriage. I wish everyone could say the same.
