Cut the dead branches off after the new growth appears, be patient, it will do fine.

As every experienced gardener would know, scrape the bark of any suspected dead branches if they are small you can do it with a finger nail to see what is underneath, if it's green below the bark, it's still alive and should be left to grow, if it's brown and dry it's dead ! and it will never grow again and should be cut off.
You can also trim the top of any suspect branches and it the cut shows green leave it and it will continue to grow.

YES PLUS IT MAKES TI LOOK NICER . ALSO TRIM IT BACK A LITTLE AND WATCH FOR CANKER. BROWN LESIONS SURONDED IN YELLOW

Yes....BUT MAKE SURE THEY ARE DEAD. A little pruning by nature is ok....smiling.

in my experience with plants, yes. the plant will put water to all the dead limbs, only to not have them grow. you could wat and see if they'll grow back, and if they do great, but thats what i'd do.
