I have pcos and have lost weight with slimming world.
Dr's say to follow a diabetic plan as we can be insulin resistant i would ask your GP as not every one is I'm not.
I would suggest that you do the following
eat fresh fruit and vegetables
eat lean meat (no fat)
drink more water
eat wholemeal bread and not white
eat healthier cereals like porridge
get as much exercise as you can
cut out alcohol and smoking and junk food
cut out chocolate and cakes and pastry
try not to eat processed food eat as much fresh food as possible but don't feel guilty if you have the odd bad food as it doesn't hurt now and again.
life would be boring if you were good all the time 80% of time you are good and 20% bad is a good ratio . so i treat my self once a week to a cream cake

Go see a specialist, I was sent to a Gyno and she prescribed Metformin, It really works i lost a pound in two weeks without trying!!!
It makes you feel grumpy , sick and dizzy the first couple of days but it does work. Also see a Personal trainer in the gym, it will have a good impact on loosing weight
