what are some good software for 3d modeling software ( something like a 3d blueprint)

I would say blender.

First for the fact that its free (unlike Maya, 3d Max, Auto Cad...etc). 3D modeling's software actually costs too much for individual use, and i assume you don't want to use pirated versions.

Second, blender is one of the most popular free 3d graphics software. The more popular the software is the more support and tutorials you will find ; )

If you're using a Mac (hopefully; that's the creative pro's choice machine), use something like Maya.

Try using AutoCAD or Microstation.

this might not help you the least bit but DO NOT USE DELL it has not been at all good to me in the past!!!
