I totally agree with u.Its just a game.I know some would be hurt from my comment but I believe that in some way the harsh reaction of the indian people prevents cricketers from doing their best. They feel burdened. So please control ur emotions and let them perform their best under pressure.

Yes, i too agree. Loosing and winning is a part of the game, but it is our duty to put in the fullest effort to win. We should have the attitude to fight for the best till the last.
Did they put at-least 5% of the effort. If you ask so the answer will be No.
That is what which makes everyone fell disgusted and ashamed.
If they had fought for the spirit of the game and victory of the nation and then if they were defeated, yes and if after that people are going to get hyped, what you say is correct. We can take that as part of the game.
But, people when they play a responsible role, they should be competent and matured enough to fight to with-hold the dignity of the game spirit.
Win or loss is secondary, the attitude is what is worrying the entire nation.

Well, it should be! But its not! Its almost a business industry! Imagine how much we spend for these cricketers on Colas, Pepsis, shoes, shirts, watches etc. Would any other model earn so much from such endorsements? Imagine how we bargain with grocery owner for a rupee or so, but buy a ticket worth thousands to watch 'live' cricket in the stadium.
Imagine us people ranking nowhere, having no medals or world cups to our credit! Neither Olympic games nor any other sport! Cricket was the only game that won us a World Cup. We won it with great difficulty but nevertheless.
Imagine 25,000 students in UP not taking their board exams so they could watch their country win!
Imagine a second most populated country, having played cricket for soooo many years, sending its 11 BEST(?) players to World Cup team!
Imagine Cricket being given more importance than OUR NATIONAL GAME!
Imagine people answering Gavaskar's question with such enthusiasm!
Winning or losing is a part of a game! For us 'Indian cricket team' is another name for shame!

Yes, it is part of the game. But being eliminated in the heats means we are placed along with the newcomers like bermuda, kenya etc. But we have been playing cricket for so many years and we have cricket legends like sunil gavaskar and a great cricketeer like sachin was playing and he appeared to be just a roadside child playing an elementary game, it hurts. India has prided itself as being a cricket playing country, the only game in which it felt it has excelled, only to be shown its place, with the street children. And we had a foreign coach, the australian greg chappel and a cricket chief, a seasoned politician like sharad power.
