Yes fast food cause obesity
burgers, pizzas, and sandwich all have a lot of carbohydrates.
u have meat, then u have bread and flour
bread and flour have oil
u will need evidence that they really cause obesity
just examine there contents
u can first analyze the word obesity
then the word fast food
write the side effects and give examples u can make them up like a friend ate this much fast food and became this much fat!!!! hehe

Ok, first of all think what is your central thesis? Because the essay topic is a direct question, I would think of writing the essay from the point whether you agree with the overall tone, or you don't agree with it. For example my central argument would sound something like this: I think fast food does really contribute to the development of unhealthy lifetime eating habits.
some points you could raise
-because you spend so little time to actually sitting down and eating there is the psychological lack of satisfaction that you actually ate something, even though your stomach is instantly feels full. Hence, you eat again to satisfy you brain appetite.
-Taking small bites and taking time to convince your brain could be tricky and time consuming. Therefore, cooking yourself or yielding some time to the smell of food on the stove (instead of couching in front of tv) coud be an alternative.
If you don't agree with the rhetorical question, you could mention:
-fast food resonates with our modern lifestyle, that is fast life and busy lane. Women much rather make big paychecks and spend it on shoes or, you could be a busy and stressed out student. Thus, we are back to our pizza, colas, fries and burgers.

First of all, try not to procrastinate... but since you already have, I will say the following. It does not cause obesity. If people didn't eat it, they could still be obese. There are healthy options. People have choices. Unfortunately, it is FAST food, so in a rushed nation, this food is tempting. So you could argue either way. Here is a link to the nutrition facts for McDonald's: www.mcdonalds.com/app_controller.nutrition.index1.html

Yes it does. You probably already knew that. Well... go onto some fast food restraunts and see if they have the nutrition facts for some of the items they serve and get the nutrition facts.
I personally can't eat fast food like burgers or fries or anything with a lot of fat because... i had my gallbladder removed and that is what processes the fat in foods and when you don't have a gallbladder (or a really bad one) then it doesn't process the fat at all or very well so... then you end up having a lot of pain in your abdomen and you vomit A LOT.
good luck with your essay!!! :)

Compare calories. What is the caloric needs of an average adult? How does that number compare to the calories in an average fast food meal? (I'm sure you can google those answers.) Compare accessibility of fast food to healthier food. Compare the ease to access a big Mac on the drive home from work versus say an apple. Are there apple stands along the highways like there are McDonalds and Burger Kings?

Okay..do some quick research online, watch SuperSize Me, and go on the McDonald's page to look up calories/fats/sugars in items you can purchase there.
From all of your findings, type up a paper...trust me, watching SuperSize Me will get you far!
Just don't forget to type up a bibliography.

if you haven't seen it: this guy lives on McDonald's for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks for a month! It's really weird and kinda disgusting to see what harm he does to his body
