If you are a reader, you are on the road to being a life long learner. I am constantly learning new things in many areas. The internet is a great way to learn about a lot of subjects. I use it to learn about gardening, new computer programs for elementary students, and to help others learn on YA.

It's a natural process, but the term means a way for universities to pocket more money from loney old people.
It's a great way to socialize, as long as you don't take it too seriously. Recently they've been clamping down, insisting that lifelong learning classes be assessed (or graded, marked), and it's taken much of the fun out of it.
