If youre just transferring, then no. All you'll have to complete is the last two years...it really just depends on the college youre transferring from and which one youre going to. You just need to make sure that the college youre coming from had the same requirements as the one youre going to.

It depends on whether the four-year school will accept credits from the two-year school. Some will and some will not. Some will accept a portion of credits, and some will accept all. I got my associates at one school, then transferred to a 4-year college to complete my degree. The 4-year school accepted all the credit from my two year school and I finished in another 2 years.

Before you leave your two year school, you should talk to a counselor about which classes will transfer at the new college. We had these books in the library of the College of Dupage (a 2 year school) about what credits would transfer in other Illinois 4 year schools. Hopefully you won't need to take anything over but sometimes the 4 year school will not count some classes.

usually no...however..depending on the credits and the college you are transferring from and to....not all of your credits may transfer..so that may prolong your stay at school..but if youre lucky...all the credits should transfer and you will be able to stay on track
